Level One offers a grounded and structured entry into this work through direct experience, guided practice, and practical instruction.
This training is designed to help participants develop the confidence, discernment, and practical skills necessary to engage this tradition with clarity, integrity, and trust in their own experience.
This immersive training offers a grounded introduction to classical shamanic journeying and the exploration of non-ordinary reality—the term used in shamanic traditions for realms beyond ordinary waking perception.
Participants learn to access these states through consciousness alone, without the use of hallucinogenics.
Over four immersive days, you will develop foundational journeying skills, strengthen trust in your direct experience, and begin cultivating relationships with helping spirits and guides.
This is more than exposure to a practice. It is the beginning of a disciplined path.

Your Guide At The Threshold
Dr. Trice Mikulic, DACM
Doctor of Chinese Medicine · Shamanic Practitioner
Dr. Trice Mikulic has spent decades working at the place where ancient medicine, shamanic practice, and modern science meet.
She holds a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the California Institute of Integral Studies, with graduate training from Yo San University and an undergraduate foundation in Classics from the University of Toronto.
Dr. Mikulic apprenticed for several years with shamanic teacher Lois Stardancer, serving as her fire keeper, and trained in plant spirit medicine under Eliot Cowan, former mara'akame of the Huichol people. She also received foundational shamanic training under renown shamanic healer Kate Vrmeer.
For years she has worked with private clients in energy medicine and personal transformation, while also leading long-form healing meditations for nonprofit communities and educational groups.
Her work brings together the practical wisdom of Chinese medicine, decades of spiritual practice, and a grounded understanding of how lasting change occurs through direct experience.

The deepest relational work of the training.
You will learn to journey to the Upper World and encounter helping spirits and guides that appear in human form.
This day focuses on:
• Developing relationships with spiritual allies
• Receiving guidance and insight

INTEGRATION & CLOSING
The culmination of crossing the threshold and returning with power and greater clarity of who you are and what is possible for you.
Transformation matters only when it can be lived. You will take home newly acquired skills and integrate them into your daily living.

Dr. Carmen Jiménez, DAHM
Doctor of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine • Educator • Facilitator
Dr. Carmen Jiménez, DAHM has a clinical focus in stress physiology, nervous system regulation, and bio-energetic medicine.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Jiménez has extensive experience teaching and facilitating both group and individual transformational work through Qi Gong classes, educational workshops, retreats, and immersive healing experiences. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she brings multicultural perspective and international professional experience to the spaces she holds.
Her approach integrates grounded clinical insight with a deep understanding of energy, consciousness, and the conditions that support meaningful transformation.
Known for creating safe, thoughtful, and well-held spaces, Dr. Jiménez brings both clinical expertise and skilled facilitation to every learning environment she supports.
VENUE
At the Threshold I is held in a private clinical space in Plantation, Florida.
Intentionally intimate and contained, a space designed for meaningful healing work.
You will be supported by your host and facilitator who take professionalism, ethics, and safety seriously—because this work deserves nothing less.

The full training investment is $1,297.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
I have no experience. Will I be out of place?
No prior experience is needed or expected.
Day One is specifically designed for beginners and provides everything needed to participate fully.
Does this involve plant medicine or substances?
No.
This training teaches classical, drum-based shamanic journeying and is entirely substance-free.
Why four days instead of a single session?
A single session opens a door.
Four days allows you to walk through it—to build trust with the practice and integrate it before returning home.
What is non-ordinary reality, and how is it different from a hallucinogenic experience?
Non-ordinary reality is the term used across shamanic traditions for a state of consciousness distinct from everyday waking awareness.
It is accessed through drumming, focused attention, and trained practice—not substances. You remain present, aware, and capable of returning at any time. The experience is participatory rather than passive; you are the one doing the work.
Is a payment plan available?

A deposit secures your place, and the remaining balance can be paid before August 6, 2026.
